Case Studies - Law Firms of the Future Attorneys Fair Intake Distributions

Analyzing Case Allocation Distribution

Challenge:

Attorneys were concerned that intakes were not being fairly distributed across the firm.

Engagement:

We took a deep dive into the intake data across the firm. We captured many variables including lead source, industry, legal claim, geography, intake reviewer, among other metrics, to help shine a light on the distribution of potential new cases to attorneys.

Law Firm Optimization:

We created a reporting suite to illustrate the intake and distribution model. We developed algorithms to identify potentially high-value cases and rules-based allocation protocols to ensure fair distribution. We additionally identified attorney preferences in case types that simultaneously improved the overall acceptance criteria of new cases as well as re-routed certain cases to specific attorneys based on their preference that resulted in increased profitability overall for the firm, increased client results for individual attorney caseloads and increased attorney satisfaction for new cases.
